More Rain, Theater Auditions and Showing Pets Some Love

Here is a look at five things you might be interested in today, Monday, June 4.

1. It doesn't look like we'll see the sun anytime soon. According to the National Weather Service, the rain clouds will remain for the better part of the day with temperatures only reaching the high 50s! What happened to sunny and 80ºF?

2. If you're looking for something fun to do this summer, and you enjoy being on stage, the is auditioning now for it's summer production of Pippin.

Auditions for the Tony award winning Broadway musical will be held today and Tuesday, June 5, at the L. P. Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Ave., Windsor. Anyone who is between the ages of 14 and 24 may try out for a role.

3. The Opera House Players, Inc., just announced its summer Cabaret series on its Facebook page.

The series kicks off on June 22 with TO BROADWAY, LOVE TONY II. For more details "like" the troupe's Facebook page.

4. If you haven't entered your favorite dog in , what are you waiting for?

The top dog in East Windsor will be awarded that town's No. 1 dog license. In Windsor Locks the top dog earns some major bragging rights. The overall winner on the site has a chance to move on to the next round of the contest and compete against canines from several other regional towns to win some neat prizes.
