New England Air Museum Summer Programs

August 2 - 4: Helicopter 2050 LEGO Challenge.  Create a helicopter of 2050 that helps overcome today's global challenges! The New England Air Museum will provide the LEGO bricks that entrants need to participate.  Prizes will be awarded by the Museum for the age groups: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and entrants 9-16 are encouraged to submit an image of their vision to the 3rd Annual Helicopter 2050 Challenge by September 30, 2013.  The Grand Prize Winner will win a $1000 scholarship and a visit to Sikorsky headquarters to see how helicopters are made.  Visitors will also have the chance to discover the Museum's 80 aircraft, and participate in a variety of activities.  These include: build and fly a model, watch a flight science demonstration, hear from a storyteller, and sit in the cockpit of an aircraft.  Check with the Museum for daily program details and schedules.  Unless otherwise noted, all programs are free with a Museum admission.  Programs and times are subject to change without notice.
