The Windsor Locks Police Union announced this week that it completed the purchase of new Safety Vests for all of the School Crossing Guards in Windsor Locks.
"We noticed when we were making our patrols, that the School Crossing Guard's vests were worn and outdated", said Union President Officer Sebastian Garofalo. "The new vests are DOT certified, and will provide better visibility for our Crossing Guards making them safer".
"We knew that the Board of Ed budget was extremely tight this year, and our membership wanted to pitch in and help", said Garofalo.
