Feral Cat in Warehouse Point Tests Positive For Rabies

The cat was caught and destroyed after biting a resident.

East Windsor police are warning that a feral cat, which bit a Warehouse Point resident Tuesday, tested positive for rabies. After the cat was caught, it was euthanized and taken to the state lab where it tested positive for the rabies virus.

The cat was described as a light grey tiger, weighing five to seven pounds. If anyone and/or their domestic animals in Warehouse Point had close contact with this particular cat they are being urged to seek immediate medical attention and also contact the police department at 860-292-8240 to report their exposure.
